Description

The FXF Scout FM Vehicle Antenna is designed for vehicle owners who want a more rugged and practical FM antenna solution for their vehicle’s standard radio head unit. Unlike two-way radio antennas, the FXF Scout is a receive-only antenna intended specifically for normal FM radio reception and is suitable for use across the 88–108 MHz FM broadcast range.

With its off-road-inspired design, the FXF Scout fits naturally on 4×4 vehicles, overlanding builds, work vehicles, bakkies, SUVs, fleet vehicles and adventure-ready vehicles where a standard factory antenna may not be strong enough, practical enough, or suitable for the overall vehicle build.
The antenna is constructed from fibreglass and aluminium, finished in black, and supplied with 5 m RG58 cable and an FM connector. Its 75 cm length offers a practical balance between FM reception, vehicle appearance and everyday usability.

The FXF Scout is also an ideal upgrade for Toyota Land Cruiser owners who want to replace the standard OEM/factory antenna. The factory telescopic-style antenna fitted to many Land Cruisers is commonly known to be fragile and prone to damage, especially when the vehicle is used for off-road driving, overlanding, farm work, bush driving or general outdoor use. The FXF Scout offers a more rugged fixed-style alternative while still providing FM radio reception through the vehicle’s head unit.
Please note that the FXF Scout is not suitable for transmitting. The supplied FM connector is intended for connection to a vehicle radio head unit only and is not designed to support radio transmission. This antenna must not be used as a VHF, UHF, CB, commercial two-way radio, amateur radio or any other transmitting antenna.
